Awning Companion is featured in the August 2008 edition of Practical Caravan Magazine. Page 126.

Beginning in September 2008, all Awning Companions & Awning Handys, sold through this site will be individually tested. We have traditionally tested a selection of our products. Now we will be testing every one.

It is unlikely that you will need more than 10kg/f to tighten your awning. We would emphasize against over-tightening of your canvas, much better to try the ' softly softly' approach first!

However, we expect all Awning Companions and Awning Handys that we sell, to achieve at least 30kg/f, before sale. Awning Companions can easily achieve 40 kg/f and even 50. in some cases. Obviously this way more than you will seriously ever need, but satisfies us, that the tools we sell are working well within their limitations

We would expect a user with strength or mobility problems, to be able to achieve between 10kg/f and 15kg/f without causing too much discomfort. With Awning Companion this is easily achievable. We have now devised some testing standards that tools have to satisfy, before they are sold. This enables our customers to buy from us, safe in the knowledge that the tool they buy has been tested for it's intended use.

September 2008 will also see us extending our product range. Initially this will be based around awning related products. But hopefully will increase as time goes on
