About Us
Welcome,
This is the retail side of the Awning Companion business and since April 2008.Is running as a separate entity to the side which supplies the shops.
www.awningcompanion.com, is now operated by Mike & Karen Lewis, who process all the orders and enquiries that pass trough this site.
We are members of both Caravan Club and Camping & Caravan Club. As and when time permits, we get away when we can. It was due to the fact that we owned a caravan that we became involved with the Awning Companion development, when we were approached by it's inventor, Mark Baker. Mark Baker asked Mike his thoughts on the idea. Mark's idea had been collecting dust in a garage for about six years. Mark was duly told by his wife Elaine, 'to do something with it!' And that was that!
As someone who likes the benefits of a caravan awning, but dislikes putting one up! Mike had an empathy with Mark's idea. So together, with the help of our wives, we all set about making the idea work. We're quite pleased with the outcome, although we would like to see the product refined, but that depends on how many people like the idea and buy it. However, so far so good!
We are pleased to be associated with Awning Companion. We were involved in the development work, which moved Awning Companion from a very useful but crude device, to a tool which would catch the imagination of the caravan user. Admittedly, there are plenty of caravan users who don't see the need to use an Awning Companion, which is their choice. But we get a lot of positive feedback from people that have bought them and a high amount of recommendations from those that use them. May we say thank you to those that do.
Hopefully, in the near future. We will be hoping to refine both the Awning Companion and Awning Handy range further. Also we have a range of ideas that we are developing. Currently we are offering two main products
We are expanding the range with other useful products. The focus being on stuff that either saves you money or saves you trouble!
As well as this, Mike Lewis works as a self-employed distributor for the Utility warehouse discount club. So it seemed sensible to offer visitors to is site, the opportunity to have access to a whole range of products and services at one focal point.
With the cost of living increasing at an alarming rate, we are pleased to be able to offer, visitors to this site opportunities to control their costs. We believe that offering this service to customers, is extremely important, when reflecting on what is currently happening with inflation currently
